For school IT teamsOne static site. No logins, no server, no database.
ClassDa.sh is plain HTML, JavaScript and pictures. Teachers don't sign in, nothing is installed, and student information stays in the browser on the teacher's own device. Please categorize classda.sh as Education.

The board can't reach anything else: every page carries a Content Security Policy that lets it connect only to the first four addresses, and show another site inside it only from the players listed (YouTube's privacy-enhanced player, Vimeo, Google Docs and Drive, Canva, Padlet, Desmos and GeoGebra). Each player is sandboxed: it can't move the board's page or open a dialog over it. Anything else a teacher opens goes in its own tab, under your filter as usual.
Visit counts: the front page, the demo and these site pages report a page view to classda.sh itself (Vercel Web Analytics, /_vercel/insights): no cookies, no identifier and no other address. The board (/live) never does. Nothing needs allowing for it, and blocking it breaks nothing.
Browser permissionsOnly when a teacher uses the tool
- Pop-ups and window management: Present opens the board in a second window and places it on the board screen. A site opened over the stage is an ordinary pop-up of that site.
- Microphone: the noise meter turns sound into one loudness number on the device. Nothing is recorded or sent.
- Camera: the Doc cam shows the picture on the device. Nothing is recorded or sent; a picture is kept only when the teacher saves one.
- Screen sharing: Show a tab shows the tab the teacher picks, on the device. Nothing is recorded.
- A folder: if the teacher turns on the daily save, the browser asks for a folder, and a classroom file is saved there once a day. Nothing else is read or written.
None of these are asked for until the teacher opens that tool, and the board works without any of them.
Where the class livesIn the browser, on the teacher's device
- The class list, points, attendance, lessons and settings are kept in the browser's storage (IndexedDB) for
classda.sh, in the teacher's browser profile. The last weather answer is kept in local storage. - Profiles that clear site data (guest mode, ephemeral profiles, “clear cookies and site data on exit”) erase the teacher's class every time. Please exempt
classda.sh from those policies on teacher devices. - Teachers back up with a classroom file (a
.classdash file they save, optionally locked with a passphrase, AES-256), and move to a board with its own computer the same way. - After the first visit a service worker keeps the board working offline. Updates arrive on the next visit online.
AIClassDa.sh never calls an AI
The optional AI helpers (turning the teacher's own files, such as a class list, the school calendar or bell schedules, into something the board reads, or building a lesson) only give the teacher a prompt to copy into whatever AI chat your district allows, and read back what they paste. The board never contacts the AI itself, so nothing new needs allowing. A teacher who chooses to set up by hand doesn't see them in the setup guide.
